As a Parts Technician you will effectively and efficiently provide parts solutions for front and back counter sales as well as phone support

Best Truck Service is Peace River's Volvo, Mack & Cummins heavy truck dealership serving the Peace Country for over 40 years. We are Peace River's only OEM truck dealer with a large and loyal customer base supported by a parts and service team that is diverse and talented. While we specialize in Volvo, Mack and Cummins, we service all makes of heavy trucks and trailers for class 6-8 in order to ensure we can provide support to all our customers regardless of their preferred brand.

We provide bumper to bumper service and repair, including preventative maintenance, wheel alignments, suspension repair, and we're experts in engine, electrical and all things technical. We enjoy a challenge and take pride in our work Performance is everything here, we back up our team with ongoing OEM training and an experienced group of staff and management.

We have a great parts team that knows how to take care of our customers and we're looking to add another

Requirements:

• Previous parts experience 1-2 years required

• Excellent organizational skills

• Attention to Detail

• Basic Computer Literacy in PC based applications

• Good personal skills, enthusiastic and energetic

• Reliable, dependable, and able to stay on task.

• Highly motivated and hard working

• A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

• Mechanically Inclined

• Previous experience in the heavy-duty truck and trailer industry or automotive in sales/parts role is an asset but not required

• Participate in all training and development programs that are made available

• Maintain areas of the department are clean, organized, and safe

• Ability to work independently and as a team player

• Ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

• Providing exceptional customer service to customers on a daily basis to maximize customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment

• Utilizing available, and finding new information to accurately determine the correct parts for the customers needs

• Researching parts for all makes of trucks

• Selling supplies and parts, and suggest any additional products the customer may require

• Sourcing parts locally or next day for customers immediate needs when not available from shelf stock

• Processing orders, core returns, quotations, purchase orders etc.

• Accurately bill all parts supplied to customers

• Pick customer orders for front and back counter

• Preparing documents for core return shipments and parts return shipments

• Some shipping and receiving duties

• Maintaining all parts bins and other parts areas in a neat and orderly fashion

• Operating forklift, hand trucks, or other materials-handling equipment

• Operating pickup delivery truck as required

• Must be able to lift 50lbs objects capably

• Performing inventory counts

• Performing weekly and daily routines as outlined

• Required to be "on call" above & beyond regular business hours as scheduled for customer support

• Performing other duties that may be assigned by supervisor

• Overtime may be required when approved by supervisor

• Adhering to all policies and procedures of the company
