Central Alberta Youth Unlimited (CAYU) is a not-for-profit Christian organization that builds meaningful, long-term connections with vulnerable young people by meeting them on their turf. CAYU addresses the holistic health of young people: physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual.

Position Overview
The Youth Engagement Ministry Staff will minister to youth and families involved in the overall local Youth for Christ Youth Engagement program.
This position is part time (salary funds are raised by the worker).
The Youth Engagement staff is responsible for the daily programming for youth. Duties include: managing and supervising volunteers, connections with youth, volunteering to serve local schools as the need is known and arises, planning and execution of programs, fundraise and maintain donor relationships, casting vision to reach the program's goals and markers of impact.
Under the direction of the acting supervisor Youth Engagement Ministry Staff are empowered to:
  • Implement overall ministry through evangelism and discipleship, and assist in providing guidance and discipline. Participate in planning and engaging off-site programs.
  • Meet with supervisor regularly, attend staff meetings, and pray for other staff.
  • Participate in recruiting and in the orientation of volunteers. Provide prayer support, resources and encouragement for volunteer staff.
  • Participate in fundraising for the Youth Engagement ministry by maintaining healthy donor relationships and assisting with all Youth for Christ fundraising events.
  • Assist in communicating to parents of students involved in the program. Represent CAYU/YFC positively to the community and seek to work with other agencies and ministries.
  • Complete monthly Ministry Reports, adhere to the CAYU/YFC Staff Policy Manual, and abide by health and safety requirements.
  • Pursue an active, growing relationship with God by participating in a local church community and a small group or mentoring relationship.
