Position Overview: The Handyman will be instrumental in maintaining the safety and functionality of multiple properties under the management of our non-profit client. This role involves hands-on maintenance tasks, identifying potential issues, and liaising with licensed professionals to ensure high standards of property upkeep.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs across various properties.
  • Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
  • Coordinate with licensed professionals for complex maintenance issues.
  • Uphold safety and health standards in all properties.
  • Manage maintenance schedules and documentation.
  • Respond swiftly to emergency maintenance needs.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Handyman or similar role.
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems.
  • Independent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Effective communication for coordinating with teams and contractors.
  • A valid driver's license (essential for travel between properties).
  • Clean criminal record, as the role involves working with vulnerable populations.
