Overview

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Sales Associate to join our team at A-1 Parts for Less. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a background in the automotive or junkyard industry. Previous experience with the Solera Powerlink system is a strong asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate. As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in helping customers find the parts they need and ensuring a positive experience.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable automotive parts.
  • Use the Solera Powerlink system to manage inventory, process sales, and locate parts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales area, ensuring parts are displayed effectively.
  • Assist customers over the phone with inquiries, part availability, and pricing.
  • Process transactions accurately, including handling cash, credit, and electronic payments.
  • Stay up-to-date with product offerings, promotions, and industry trends.
  • Work closely with the yard team to fulfill customer orders promptly and accurately.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Contribute to achieving sales targets and improving customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Experience with the Solera Powerlink system is a strong asset (willing to train if needed).
  • Previous experience in a junkyard or automotive parts sales environment is an asset.
  • Knowledge of automotive parts and systems is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are an asset.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members while being self-motivated.
  • Proficient in using computers and technology for inventory management and sales.
  • Previous experience in cash handling and point-of-sale systems is preferred.

Pay: $17.50-$22.68 per hour
