Horizon a leading IT Solution Engineer/Architect who is interested in on-demand engagements. Horizon provides solutions that redefine the landscape of technology solutions for our Clients. We are seeking a strong, experienced Solution Engineer/Architect with a proven track record in supporting Sales Executives in defining solutions across the spectrum of data, storage, networking, Cyber Resilience, Cyber Security and overall IT architecture. This role demands the ability to architect solutions that meet the Client's requirements and to produce comprehensive Statements of Work (SOW) to meet the unique needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Support:
- Participate in sales calls, collaborating with the sales team to gather clear requirements
- Match client requirements with our technology offerings to provide tailored solutions.
- Present technical solution proposals to C-level decision makers
- Technical Expertise:
- Possess broad and deep knowledge across the spectrum of data, storage, networking, Cyber Resilience, Cyber Security and overall IT architecture/
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements to effectively communicate the benefits of our solutions.
- Facilitate detailed hardware and/or software specifications to support the ability to provide detailed quotes.
- Solution Architecture:
- Architect and design comprehensive solutions, particularly in the context of data center environments, storage, networking, etc.
- Develop clear and comprehensive SOWs:
- Create detailed and accurate SOWs, outlining the scope, deliverables, cost estimates and timelines for proposed solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between Client needs and proposed solutions.
- Communication Skills:
- Represent and clearly articulate the technical aspects of solutions to Clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to clearly and concisely communicate Client requirements and expectations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in 4-legged sales calls and C-level Client engagements.
- Extensive experience in data, storage, networking, and overall IT architecture.
- Proficiency in understanding data issues (migration, analytics, master data management, etc.)
- Exposure to strategies and technologies related to Cyber Resilience, Cyber Security and Disaster Recovery
- Ability to architect data center environments and create detailed Statements of Work.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to travel to Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.
