Overview
As a
Healthcare Security Officer
with Paladin Security, you will respond to alarms and emergency requests from clinical staff and use excellent verbal de-escalation skills to resolve incidents professionally. You must maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling private information, while delivering strong customer service in a healthcare environment.

This role may include exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and deceased bodies.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to alarms and emergency requests from clinical staff
  • Use strong verbal de-escalation skills to manage incidents safely and calmly
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling private and sensitive information
  • Complete detailed incident reports (missing patients, access requests, aggression from patients/family/visitors, etc.)
  • Conduct regular patrols of the healthcare facility
  • Follow PPE and safety protocols at all times
  • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional security presence

Requirements

  • Must live in Pemberton
  • Must have a BC Security Worker License
  • Must be comfortable working in a healthcare facility (this can include sight of and contact with blood, bodily fluids, dead bodies, etc.)
  • Must be available for 12-hour overnight shifts 4-days per week
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Must be available to travel to Vancouver for one week for paid training (accommodation will be provided)
