Our client in the public sector is seeking an experienced SAP Finance (FICO) Consultant. As an SAP Finance Consultant, you will lead end-to-end delivery of SAP S/4HANA Finance modules within a complex enterprise environment.
This role requires strong functional and technical expertise in SAP Finance, a solid understanding of public-sector financial processes, and the ability to bridge the gap between technology and business strategy.
12 month contract with possibilities of extension
Key Responsibilities
- Lead configuration, enhancement, and deployment of SAP S/4HANA Finance modules such as GL, AP, AR, AA, and CO.
- Assess and document financial and regulatory processes, delivering SAP solutions that improve transparency and control.
- Partner with integration teams to align Finance with related systems and ensure accurate data flow across the enterprise.
- Provide subject-matter expertise on accounting standards, cost management, and performance reporting.
- Manage data migration, testing, user training, and post-go-live optimization.
- Facilitate workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions for finance and project teams.
- Stay up to date on SAP roadmap developments and best practices relevant to the public sector.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least 7 years of SAP implementation and support experience, including hands-on work with S/4HANA.
- At least 5 years in a lead consultant, integration, or solution architecture capacity.
- Strong understanding of SAP FICO processes (financial accounting, controlling, reporting, and compliance).
- Strong knowledge of utilities finances processes including tariff and rate management, cost allocation, and regulatory reporting.
- Hands-on experience configuring SAP S/4HANA Finance modules and integrating with SAP IS-U.
- Experience integrating SAP Finance with other enterprise platforms and applications.
- SAP S/4HANA Finance certification required.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and Fiori preferred.
