Job Summary:

We are looking for a Food Service Worker to join our team. This role is responsible to prepare meals to serve our customers and perform food preparation duties, including hot items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and as well as grab-and-go items. They will also focus on a wide range of tasks that keep the kitchen running smoothly, from cleaning up after cooking to adhering to food safety regulations.

Ultimately, this role will work our kitchen with other Chefs and food specialists to ensure dishes are prepared correctly and processes are followed.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Hot and cold food preparation, including sandwiches, chickens, salads, soups and specialty trays
  • Perform preparation duties such as rinsing, peeling, slicing, and dicing vegetables
  • Weigh and measure ingredients
  • Wrap, date-label, and store food items
  • Clean and organize work areas, equipment, utensils, and service station
  • Follow established recipes to prepare menu items
  • Follow guidelines to ensure correct serving temperatures and adequate portion control
  • Provide customers with information regarding food ingredients, availability and pricing
  • Ensure the store is clean, safe and ready for shoppers
  • Rotation, loading and unloading of kitchen ingredients
  • Stock and replace products to avoid any damages
  • Keep shelves fully stocked with fresh products
  • Backroom and inventory management
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Proven customer service or retail experience is a plus
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good communication and people skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time
  • Comfortable using commercial power equipment, including slicers and ovens
  • Comfortable working in a hot or cold environment (kitchen, coolers and freezers)
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds at times
