Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring safe and effective medication use, providing expert guidance to patients and healthcare professionals. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting patient care across various clinical settings, including hospital and acute care units. The Pharmacist will be responsible for medication dispensing, patient counseling, and collaborating with medical staff to optimize treatment outcomes. Candidates with hospital experience, especially in pediatrics and acute care, are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with physician orders and legal requirements
  • Provide expert consultation on medication therapy, including dosage, interactions, and side effects
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and review patient treatment plans
  • Educate patients on proper medication usage, storage, and potential side effects
  • Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust therapy as needed in coordination with medical teams
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of prescriptions and patient interactions in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Ensure the pharmacy operates within safety protocols, including proper storage and handling of medications
  • Stay current with new pharmaceutical developments, guidelines, and medical terminology relevant to patient care

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
