Our Mobile Outreach Department is looking for a dedicated Needle Mitigation Worker to join the team.

Position Responsibilities

The Needle Mitigation Worker will perform proactive needle sweeps, respond to requests by businesses and residents regarding needle debris, and monitor disposal bins through the community. The Needle Mitigation Worker will perform other departmental duties as directed by the Mobile Outreach Program Manager or their designate.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Clear Criminal Record Check
  • Valid Alberta Drivers License – Class 5
  • Satisfactory Drivers Abstract
  • Ability to interpret/apply policies & procedures
  • Excellent communication skills - orally and written
  • Knowledge of computers and related applications is desirable

Hours

The standard workweek consists of an average of 25 hours, with the specific schedule being determined by the immediate supervisor.

Compensation

Wage of $24.28 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
