Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Plumber and Gasfitter to join our dynamic construction team. This vital role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and gas systems across various commercial and residential projects. As a key contributor, you will work on construction sites, interpret blueprints, and ensure all systems meet safety and quality standards. Your expertise will help deliver efficient, reliable plumbing solutions that keep projects moving forward with energy and precision.

Duties

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances on construction sites.
  • Perform gas fitting tasks such as connecting gas lines safely for appliances and systems in compliance with regulations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise installations.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Assist with remodeling projects by assembling plumbing components and making necessary adjustments.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems related to plumbing or gas fitting.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections for project documentation.

Experience

  • Proven experience working on construction sites with a focus on plumbing and gas fitting roles.
  • Skilled in construction plumbing techniques including pipe threading, soldering, welding, and schematics reading.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems related to plumbing applications is a plus.
  • Familiarity with carpentry basics for framing or structural adjustments during installations.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy machinery, and construction equipment safely.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of building codes, safety standards, and schematics interpretation.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or experience driving construction vehicles is advantageous.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise installations.
  • Handyman experience or remodeling background enhances versatility in handling diverse project needs.
