Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated,experienced and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong understanding of truck operations, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle different types of trucks including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and dump trucks.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Utilize manual transmission when required for specific deliveries or vehicle types.
- Operate forklifts as needed for loading and unloading tasks.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and other specialized vehicles is preferred.
- Experience in delivery driving with a strong focus on safety and compliance with regulations.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Previous experience loading and unloading cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment.
