About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Application Packaging Specialist to join our team, which is responsible for all endpoint clients within the estate, focusing on client management, software delivery and usability of all endpoint technologies.
In this role you will be exposed to a wide range of activities and technologies in a thriving and highly technical environment. There will be opportunities to demonstrate technical leadership on projects and development initiatives. This role requires an extensive knowledge of application packaging & deployment utilising SCCM & Intune deployment methods.
You'll join a growing and collaborative development team with a range of skills and experiences, and report into the Workplace service leader who is UK based.
The Opportunity
- To build installer packages and transforms using Admin Studio, InstallShield Automation, scripting using Powershell for deployment through SCCM or Intune
- To work closely with customer and pilot groups through all phases of discovery, packaging, testing and deployment to the complete satisfaction of end-users
- Incorporate automation / custom configuration using Powershell and App Deployment Toolkit as necessary
- Use of existing management tools to identify, prioritize and remediate existing vulnerabilities by patching software
- Diagnose end-user software installation failures and remediate as required
- Maintain the application package library, retiring and removing obsolete & redundant objects
- Authors official documents e.g. reports (for internal or external use)
- Working knowledge of Intune to add, configure & assign packages
Is this role right for you?
Essential Skills
- Expert knowledge of installer technologies and techniques
- Expert knowledge of the MSI and EXE packaging process using Flexera Admin Studio and Installshield
- Expert knowledge of packaging complex applications with multiple dependencies
- Proficient with PowerShell scripting techniques
- Experience in software deployment processes, as well as the software lifecycle
- Working knowledge of Intune technologies
- Detailed knowledge of Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager especially around Application configuration & distribution, collection configuration and failed installation diagnosis
- Knowledge of vulnerability management techniques for third party patching
- Ability to identify areas of improvement to continually improve service quality and reduce costs
Desirable
- Previous Autopilot implementation
- Working knowledge of ITIL Service Management processes and practices
- Working knowledge of Patch My Pc or alternative products

Toronto Hiring Range
- The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Toronto is $105,000 to $115,000 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Toronto will differ.
