Job Summary:

We are seeking a self motivated and detail-oriented IT Systems Analyst to join our Small/Medium Business team. In this role, you will support, implement, and maintain systems such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Checkpoint Harmony and Fortinet, ensuring they meet client needs and industry standards. You will act as the first point of contact for SMB customers seeking technical support, providing desktop and network support over the phone and in person. You will also have the opportunity to work with the latest security appliances and systems to provide enterprise level security to small business clients. You will play an active role in client account management and client relations as you work directly with clients and vendors.

** Position only open to people currently living in the Calgary area (reliable vehicle and valid Alberta driver's license are required).**

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and troubleshoot IT systems.
  • Provide 1st and 2nd level desktop, server and network support for clients in Windows environments.
  • Perform Windows server and network equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor tickets, manage SLAs and perform triage /ticket escalation.
  • Assist in the maintenance and configuration of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Fortinet, and Checkpoint systems.
  • Maintain email and endpoint security tools, monitor and manage backup systems

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Or equivalent certification such as CompTIA A+.
  • Strong understanding of Windows 11, user management in Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID as well as Microsoft 365 email and collaboration suite management and Google Workspace.
  • Knowledge of Intune, Windows server 2019+, Fortinet and Checkpoint firewalls and endpoint products would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of Veeam Backup and Recovery (or other backup and recovery products).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • We are also looking for the proven ability to work independently, strong problem-solving capabilities, the ability to effectively collaborate with others, as well as someone who is customer centric like us, and who enjoys working with a team of professionals.
  • Must be able to lift 20kg (Items such as Computers, Monitors, Servers etc.).
