Job Description
As a Test Data Engineer (TDM), you will play a key role in provisioning a broad range of test data engineering solutions including data creation, data masking & virtualization, data quality, data profiling and other specialized test data management functions. You will be leveraging in-house automation tools plus Delphix for data masking & virtualization.

CUSTOMER

  • Perform data analysis and assess data management requirements for a specific Platform or Journey, including complex analysis involving multiple pods or products
  • Maintain good knowledge of upstream data, including knowledge about system architecture, data flow between systems
  • Elicit, analyze, and understand business and data requirements to develop complete test data solutions. This may include developing a new data automation asset or implementing data masking & virtualization solution thru Delphix.
  • Develop and maintain self serve data automation assets to enable QE & business to generate their own test data
  • Provide support to the development and testing teams to resolve data issues, including escalation support on complex issues
  • Support partners and stakeholders in interpreting and analyzing data
  • Build effective working relationships within own pod and across partner teams to encourage collaboration on all pod deliverables

SHAREHOLDER

  • Coordinate with technology work teams such as ITS, ARE, Architecture, Enterprise Protect etc. to ensure overall delivery success
  • Support the QE team with data analysis/investigations of complex issues/ test cases as part of SIT/UAT/PAT testing
  • Raise service-now requests and work with the change management team to support release management activities
  • Adhere & contribute towards standard security coding practices to ensure date assets are free of most common coding vulnerabilities
  • Ensure technical decisions, technical risks and lessons learned are identified, clearly documented and enhancements are accordingly implemented
  • Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high-risk activities as necessary
  • Adhere to internal policies/procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines
  • Keep current on emerging trends/ developments and grow knowledge of the business, related tools, and techniques
  • Enable team members by sharing knowledge and leveraging engineering best practices.

BREADTH & DEPTH

  • Expert knowledge of test data management related processes, best practices & tools
  • At least 1-2 years of experience with any of the TDM tools like Delphix or CA-TDM
  • 2-3 years of development experience with JAVA
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Designs and develops to meet business and technical requirements; analyzes, adapts, integrates, codes, tests, debugs, and executes
  • Consults with peers and partners across multiple teams on all aspects of research, analysis, design, and support
  • Generally reports to a Practice Lead

Experience And / Or Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Business or domain knowledge in Wealth or banking (nice to have)
