Reporting to the Director, Enablement Strategy & Delivery, the Education Specialist has a passion for learning and development and is committed to delivering and maintaining dynamic training solutions to our advisors, consultants and other various stakeholders. This individual has strong communication and presentation skills and is highly organized, which is demonstrated in the careful maintenance of our learning libraries and management of CE-accredited content.The Education Specialist will
  • Drafting content for, and creating, virtual e-learning modules, guides, and 1-pagers to support distribution's onboarding and ongoing training objectives

  • Management of the Growth Centre and Client Services Knowledge Centre (SharePoint sites for Group Solutions), including creating new pages, managing updates to existing content, and sharing industry news in a timely manner

  • Ongoing management and recommendations for improvement of the sales mentorship program

  • Planning and execution of advisor webinars including mapping learning deliverables, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, creation of workplans, consolidating stakeholder feedback, overseeing both live and recorded webinars, etc

  • Create and maintain yearly advisor webinar schedule 

  • Oversee and assist in the creation of slide decks, including liaising with subject matter experts and graphic designers

  • Coordination with internal teams to create messaging for webinar invites, social posts, blogs, and website content to advertise external learning programs 

  • Management of CE-accredited content including accreditation through various Canadian accreditation bodies, creation of CE certificates, management and tracking of advisor certifications, etc 

  • Management of on-demand learning library content for the direct and indirect channels

  • Creation and management of sales training programs 

  • Ongoing maintenance of learning path for new Distribution staff to provide base knowledge of products, solutions, and industry specific insights

  • Act as administrator for webinar and engagement software

To be successful as an Education Specialist with People Corporation, you will need:
  • 5+ years of experience in Learning and Development, preferably in an Insurance/Wealth industry

  • Degree, diploma or certificate in continuing education, program development for adult learners, or other relevant field

  • Experience in and knowledge of insurance an asset

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office tools

  • Experience with various digital learning tools (Articulate, Synthesia) and webinar platforms an asset

  • Fluency in French is an asset

  • Strong people, persuasion, and presentation skills

  • Excellent communications skills; listening, writing and verbal

  • Ability to work with different stakeholder groups to gather needs, build workplans, measure outcomes, and recommend improvements

  • Strong organization skills with the ability to effectively manage documents, records and information while maintaining high attention to detail

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight timelines with strong prioritization skills while maintaining high degree of accuracy

  • Ability to work and coordinate with a variety of people from different time zones, both independently and as part of a virtual team

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Strong project management skills
