Our client is seeking a
hands-on Senior Cloud & Modernization Solution Architect
to lead major initiatives across
AI enablement, cloud modernization, API modernization, Dynamics 365 CRM implementation, and tool rationalization
.

This role requires an architect who can both design and
deliver
—producing prototypes, reference implementations, quantitative tradeoff analyses, and business-aligned recommendations.

Location: hybrid Toronto

Duration: 6 months + extension

Responsibilities:

The Architect will assist with one or multiple of the following areas:

  • Cloud Modernization:
    Azure/GCP modernization, containerization/Kubernetes adoption, refactoring monolithic .NET/Oracle systems, multi-cloud integration, and workload performance/cost optimization.
  • API Modernization:
    Transition from SOAP/ESB to REST/GraphQL/event-driven APIs; modern API gateway strategies; identity integration with Azure B2C/Entra ID; API governance and lifecycle standards.
  • Dynamics 365 CRM:
    Solution architecture, integration with core systems and cloud services, data migration strategy, extensibility, identity alignment, and tool rationalization around CRM/case management workloads.
  • AI Enablement:
    Patterns for LLM-assisted workflows, AI integration into enterprise apps, secure data flows aligned to Purview/DLP, and build-vs-buy assessments for automation/AI platforms.
  • Tool Rationalization:
    Assess overlapping tools, define consolidation strategies, quantify savings, and establish standardized enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hands-on architecture
    through prototypes, PoCs, reference implementations, and validated patterns—grounded in measurable outcomes (performance, cost, reliability, automation gains).
  • Define modernization roadmaps
    for applications, APIs, CRM, identity, and cloud platforms, including migration strategies, rehost/replatform/refactor evaluations, and KPIs.
  • Architect secure integrations
    across Azure B2C, Entra ID, OAuth/OIDC, Purview, DLP, and Zero Trust models; ensure AI and cloud solutions meet compliance requirements.
  • Establish enterprise architecture standards
    (API patterns, integration frameworks, identity models, platform guardrails) and conduct design reviews ensuring alignment, feasibility, and risk reduction.
  • Partner with engineering, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders
    to translate business objectives into scalable solutions and rationalized toolsets.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in solution architecture or application modernization
    , with proven
    hands-on
    design and delivery.
  • Strong experience with
    Azure and GCP
    (multi-cloud preferred),
    Azure B2C/Entra ID
    , cloud-native patterns, Kubernetes/containers, .NET, Oracle modernization, and modern API architectures (REST/GraphQL/event-driven).
  • Experience implementing or integrating
    Dynamics 365 CRM
    (data migration, API/connector patterns, extensibility, identity integration).
  • Working knowledge of
    AI/LLM integration
    , enterprise data governance, Purview/DLP, monitoring/observability, and automation/tooling ecosystems.
  • Ability to articulate
    business outcomes

    architecture tradeoffs
    , and present quantitative reasoning (cost models, performance benchmarks, ROI impacts).
