We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) who is fluent in Italian to provide high-quality care to our diverse client base. This role involves assisting seniors and individuals with disabilities in their daily activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care settings, with a strong focus on senior care and dementia support. Bilingual proficiency in Italian is essential to effectively communicate with clients and their families.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a respectful and caring environment
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe living environment
  • Support clients with activities related to dementia care and working with people with disabilities
  • Document care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare teams and family members
  • Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure client safety

Skills

  • Fluent in Italian with excellent communication skills in both Italian and English
  • Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments preferred
  • Knowledge of senior care practices, dementia care, medication administration, and caregiving techniques
  • Ability to work compassionately with elderly individuals and those with disabilities
  • Strong organizational skills for meal preparation and household tasks
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and professionalism in caregiving roles

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$21.00 per hour
