We are seeking a highly results-oriented AP World History teacher who possesses an expert understanding of the exam's structure and demands. The ideal candidate is not only a master of the content but a strategic coach dedicated to ensuring student success on the AP exam.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a rigorous, comprehensive curriculum that is tightly aligned with the current College Board AP World History framework.
  • Implement a strategic test-preparation program, incorporating in-depth analysis of past exam questions, released multiple-choice sections, and all essay types (DBQ, LEQ, SAQ).
  • Explicitly teach and drill proven test-taking strategies, time management techniques, and rubric-specific scoring tactics for all sections of the exam.
  • Develop and administer regular, mock AP exams to track student progress and identify areas for intensive review.
  • Analyze student performance data to provide targeted, actionable feedback aimed at maximizing scores.
  • Foster a disciplined and driven classroom environment focused on achieving a high pass rate.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in History, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Demonstrable expertise in the AP World History exam, including a thorough familiarity with its historical thinking skills, thematic approach, and evolving question formats.
  • A proven track record of success in preparing students for the AP World History exam, with verifiable evidence of high pass rates.
  • Exceptional ability to teach and coach students on the specific demands of the document-based question (DBQ) and long essay question (LEQ).
  • Strong organizational skills and a data-driven approach to instruction.
