Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Millwright to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. This role requires a strong mechanical background, electrical knowledge, and experience with industrial maintenance systems. The Millwright will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing processes, ensuring safety standards, and maintaining equipment reliability. Candidates should possess excellent analysis skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals.
Responsibilities
- Install, align, and assemble machinery and equipment according to technical specifications and schematics
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on industrial machinery including boilers, HVAC systems, conveyors, and other plant equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical (including low voltage), pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and analysis skills
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to schedule maintenance tasks and record work performed
- Conduct welding repairs or modifications as needed to maintain equipment integrity
- Assist with the installation or upgrade of electrical systems in compliance with electrical codes and safety standards
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints for accurate troubleshooting and repairs
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Millwright or in industrial maintenance within manufacturing environments
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC, boiler systems, welding, electrical systems (including low voltage), and general machinery repair
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software applications
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and manuals accurately
- Industrial electrician experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and procedures
- Excellent analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical issues
- Strong communication skills in English for effective teamwork and documentation purposes
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
