Overview

Cedar Ridge Homes is looking for a Construction Site Assistant. This position is physically demanding, and requires working on building sites, including but not limited to loading/unloading materials, site prep, equipment/vehicle maintenance, equipment operation, and organizing & maintaining materials.

Duties

  • Material handling - load, unload, move and store construction materials
  • Site preparation - clear debris, set up barricades, clean and prepare sites for cabinet layout and drywall.
  • Assisting Construction Managers as required
  • Tool Operation - use hand and power tools like saws, drills, and sometimes operate heavy equipment like skid steers, mini excavators etc.
  • Enforcement of safety program
  • Install temporary stairs and hand rails
  • Maintain site cleanliness, secure/store tools, follow safety rules and report hazards.

Qualifications

  • Physical Ability - stamina, strength to lift heavy object (up to 100lbs), and ability to work outdoors in various conditions.
  • Ability to follow instructions, clear communication, attention to detail, and time management
  • MUST have a clean drivers abstract, a valid class 5 drivers license, a good attitude and work well with others.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented with an additional value on the importance of company culture.

Work Environment:

  • Work occurs on single family and multi-family construction sites
  • Involves physical exertion, exposure to elements including but not limited to heights, and confined spaces.
  • Working with tight deadlines - work effectively and efficiently
  • Proactive and self-motivated

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
