Structural Draftsperson

Tong Ngo Engineering & Associates Ltd. is seeking an experienced Structural Draftsperson to join our engineering firm in Surrey, BC. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong AutoCAD drafting and structural detailing experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare structural drawings, construction drawings, and shop drawings
  • Draft residential, commercial, and industrial structural plans
  • Use AutoCAD for structural drafting and detailing
  • Coordinate with structural engineers to interpret design specifications
  • Revise and update drawings to meet BC Building Code requirements
  • Support project documentation and permit submissions

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Drafting Technology
  • 2+ years experience as a Structural Draftsperson / CAD Technician
  • Strong knowledge of structural steel, concrete, and wood framing drawings
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting (Revit experience is an advantage)
  • Understanding of construction documents and structural detailing
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
