Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our company. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on residential and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, and roofing , with the ability to work safely at heights and handle various tools and materials. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with maintenance person experience or those looking to advance their skills in roofing and construction.

Duties

  • Install new roofing systems using appropriate materials and techniques
  • Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing components
  • Measure and cut roofing materials accurately according to project specifications
  • Use hand tools such as hammers, saws, and caulking guns to complete tasks efficiently
  • Read blueprints and technical drawings to ensure proper installation
  • Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood
  • Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and energy efficiency
  • Assist with general construction tasks related to roofing projects
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols at all times

Experience

  • Prior experience in roofing, preferred
  • Familiarity with hand tools, and basic carpentry skills is a plus demonstrating versatility across various repair tasks
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
  • Knowledge of shingle installation and waterproofing methods is advantageous
  • Experience working at heights and using safety harnesses is required

This role requires a dependable individual with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and possess the physical stamina necessary for demanding tasks. Having a valid driver's license and or valid transportation to the jobsite each day is mandatory.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
