UpHi Cannabis is an independently owned cannabis retail company with two stores in St. Catharines. The successful candidate will be working shifts at both our Glenridge Ave and Geneva St stores.
We're looking for an outgoing, enthusiastic and experienced retail sales associate from all walks of life who loves cannabis. Our budtenders are the heart of our exceptional customer service experience and we take pride in our passionate team's exceptional cannabis knowledge which serves to provide guidance to experienced users and beginners alike. Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and ensure they have proper ID
- Assist customers with cannabis related questions, educate them on responsible uses and practices, and make informed suggestions and product recommendations
- Prepare in-store and online customer orders, review inventory counts and assist with back of house support
- Process cash, debit and credit transactions on a Point of Sale system
- Support and participate in store opening and closing procedures, including but not limited to restocking, general housekeeping, and end of day reports
- Ensure store is clean and tidy at all times by maintaining exceptional housekeeping throughout the day
- Must be willing to proactively stay up to date with new product knowledge and developments in the cannabis industry
- Adhere to company policies & procedures
- Adhere to all federal, provincial and municipal legislative requirements of cannabis retailers
- All other duties as assigned by store management

Candidate Skills/Requirements:
- Must be able to remain flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- Extensive knowledge of cannabis products and accessories is an asset
- Experience in retail sales and customer service is essential
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Willing and able to work in a team environment
- Capable of easily self-starting tasks and seeking out projects to keep productive during shifts
- Proficient computer skills and experience with Point of Sales systems is an asset
- Must be at least 19 years of age or older
- Open to feedback and eager to improve
- The successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and CannSell certification before their first shift.

Working Conditions:
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Manual dexterity required to use tablets and peripherals
- Ability to lift 5-45lbs throughout the day
- Ability to reach above shoulder level
