We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Scientific Publications Associate to support our expanding publication efforts in ophthalmology. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work remotely from the UK, collaborating with global teams and contributing to impactful medical publications that shape the future of healthcare.

In this crucial position, you will support the Scientific Publication Lead for an ophthalmology product, primarily focusing on developing and managing publication activities related to sponsor research, congress materials, manuscript development, and journal submissions. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of compliant, high-quality scientific communications that enhance understanding within the medical community worldwide.

Key Skills Required

  • Advanced degree in a scientific or medical discipline such as PhD, PharmD, or MD.
  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience in medical writing, scientific publications, or medical communications within pharma, biotech, or agency settings.
  • Proven experience managing publications in a global environment with vendors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects successfully and work independently.
  • Familiarity with publication management tools and systems.
  • Knowledge of good publication practices, guidelines (ICMJE, GPP3), and applicable industry standards and regulations.

Nice To Have Skills

  • Prior experience supporting publication activities for ophthalmology or other niche therapeutic areas.
  • Knowledge of clinical trial design, data reporting, and statistical methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex regulatory or compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with working in matrixed or cross-functional teams.
