Overview 

Acts as receptionist and performs clerical duties including data entry in Ansos and maintains statistical information for patient care delivery in Complex Continuing Care & Rehab. Relates to patients and their families in a professional and courteous manner and interacts collaboratively with the interdisciplinary staff to provide patient centred care.

Education 

- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent educational preparation.

- Training related to office administration/office coordinator.

Qualifications

- 2 years of relevant recent experience working as a unit clerk.

- Knowledge of medical terminology required.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.

- Computer literacy required; demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

- Excellent keyboarding skills.

- Skill in use of Powerchart, Ansos, SAP/SRM.

- Demonstrates tact, diplomacy, and discretion in matters related to patients, staff, and hospital affairs.

- Able to work independently as well as work in a team environment.

- Demonstrated excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and time management skills. 

- Good work and attendance record required.
