Apex Systems is a Global IT Services Firm, and our Staffing practice is looking for a Devops Specialist with experience working within a Financial Institution, to place at our client, a Big Five Bank. You will be joining a highly collaborative, fast paced and high performing team.

Job Description
The Operations Resource specializing in DevOps Code Deployments is responsible for managing, automating, and executing code deployments across various environments. This role ensures the reliability, consistency, and efficiency of software delivery pipelines, working closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to support ongoing application releases and operational stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Automate and manage code deployments to testing, and production environments using DevOps tools and best practices.
- Monitor deployment processes and resolve issues to ensure successful releases.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to coordinate deployment schedules and verify deployment readiness.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.
- Document deployment procedures and update operational runbooks as needed.
- Troubleshoot deployment failures and perform root cause analysis.
- Support infrastructure provisioning and configuration management as part of the deployment workflow.
- Ensure compliance with change management policies and maintain audit trails of deployments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 3-5 Years Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Redhat Openshift, Microsoft Azure, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Ansible).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and cloud platforms (e.g. OCP, Azure).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and release management.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in operations or site reliability engineering roles.
- Familiarity with ITIL or similar operational frameworks.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale deployments
