Overview

Puffin is seeking a friendly, reliable, and motivated Sales Associate to join our growing team. This role plays a key part in delivering exceptional customer service, educating customers on our products, and creating a welcoming, professional in-store experience.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, well-organized, and comfortable explaining product features in a clear and responsible manner. This position offers a dynamic retail environment with opportunities to develop product knowledge and sales skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Assist customers in selecting products that best suit their needs and preferences
  • Educate customers on product features, usage, and maintenance in a clear and compliant manner
  • Confidently recommend complementary products to enhance the customer experience
  • Process sales accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including cash and electronic payments
  • Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing product displays
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking and merchandising
  • Keep the sales floor tidy, safe, and welcoming at all times
  • Communicate current promotions, new arrivals, and store policies to customers
  • Handle customer questions or concerns professionally and escalate when necessary
  • Ensure age-verification procedures are followed at all times (18+ ID required)

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to explain products clearly and confidently
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic cash handling
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Professional phone and in-person customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Bilingual abilities are considered an asset
  • Interest in vaping products and willingness to continuously learn is a plus
