CNC Operator

Western Archrib has been a leader in the design, manufacture, and custom fabrication of glued-laminated structural wood systems since 1951. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components according to exact specifications.

Location: Boissevain, MB

Shift: 2:00pm-10:00pm

Hours: Full time

Wage: $23.00-$27.00 per hour

Role Responsibilities:

• Set up, program, and operate CNC machines (e.g., mills, lathes, routers) to manufacture
• parts to exact specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical documents to determine
• machine setup and production requirements
• Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and machine settings for specific jobs
• Monitor machining operations and make real-time adjustments to ensure accuracy and
• consistency
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical or programming
• issues as needed
• Maintain accurate production records and follow established quality control procedures
• Adhere to all safety protocols and contribute to a clean, organized work environment

Role Requirements:

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints
• Strong understanding of machine operation, cutting speeds, and feed rates
• Familiarity with different materials (e.g., wood, metal, plastic) and machining techniques
• Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance practices
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
