Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Intermediate or Senior Environmental Technician, based in Grande Prairie, AB. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing contaminated site assessments (Phase I and II), collecting and analyzing soil and groundwater samples, conducting remediation and reclamation fieldwork, and ensuring compliance with applicable environmental guidelines and regulations. Additional responsibilities include preparing technical reports, communicating findings to clients, and supporting environmental projects by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with Environmental Services, including contaminated site assessments, remediation, and reclamation practices.
- Strong skills in soil and groundwater sampling and analysis techniques relevant to environmental management.
- Exceptional Communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and with clients.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for environmental assessments and ability to apply guidelines to complex scenarios.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Professional accreditation or eligibility for registration with relevant organizations in Alberta and BC is an asset.
- Willingness to work on-site and travel within Alberta, BC, and the Northwest Territories for project work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to sustainable and innovative environmental solutions.
