As the Leader, Human Resources (HR) Technology and Innovation, you will provide strategic leadership to direct reports and matrix teams, designing best-in-class solutions to deliver on services and improve the customer experience. Primary duties include:
- Lead a team of Business Analysts in designing solutions to challenges/opportunities that are process and/or technology-related; evaluate proposed solutions to ensure they meet business needs and align with business goals.
- Work collaboratively with cross functional teams from across The City to design, implement, support, and execute on HR system and process improvements.
- Coordinate and prioritize all HR technology work requests on behalf of HR.
- Act as the steward for myHRconnect, PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM), and HR HelpDesk to ensure these systems continue to meet the needs of The City.
- Work with process owners and the HR Management Team to create and maintain the HR technology workplan in alignment with HR¿s Technology principles.
- Leverage industry trends, innovations, systems and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement within HR.
- Work in close collaboration with the HR Leader of the ERP Roadmap Project to ensure alignment between the HR technology workplan and the long-term strategic vision for The City¿s enterprise resource planning ecosystem.
- Manage project resources and capital funding to deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Partner with clients, Information Technology (IT), and vendors to ensure HR systems continue to meet the needs of the organization.
- Act as HR¿s business liaison on technology projects sponsored by other business units but that require significant input from HR.
- Work to identify performance measures to demonstrate effective and efficient service delivery related to HR¿s technology investments.
Qualifications
- A degree in a related field and at least 5 years of HR and project management experience with a focus on technology.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience with change management initiatives will be considered an asset.
- Experience working in PeopleSoft HCM or a similar HRIS will also be considered an asset.
- You are an independent, adaptable, results oriented individual with a demonstrated ability to lead projects and build effective relationships with individuals and groups.
- You can effectively advocate for change as well as influence and collaborate across the organization.
- Well-developed research skills to understand technology trends, patterns and products for the HR business.
- An innovative and analytical thinker with risk-based decision making, and the ability to communicate with and influence across varying groups.

Such arrangements are based on the operational requirements of the position and employee suitability and are subject to change based on operational needs and corporate direction

Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week earning 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
