Athabasca University's Learning Services Tutorial Department is seeking an Individualized Study Tutor for the following course:

PSYC/EDPY 470: Consultation and Collaboration for Students with Special Needs

Qualifications and Experience Required: A minimum of a Master's degree required (PhD preferred) in Educational Psychology, Special Education or Inclusive Education.

The successful candidate will have experience supporting learners in an inclusive K-12 setting and will possess subject-matter expertise. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic assistance to students, marking assignments, and assigning and recording final grades. Experience in post-secondary distance learning and familiarity with digital teaching technologies and online course delivery is preferred. Experience with adult education and Brightspace online course delivery is considered an asset.

Along with the relevant academic credentials as mentioned above, this position requires excellent communication, organizational, administrative and online/computer skills. The successful candidate should have demonstrated the ability to maintain a high academic standard, maintain accurate student records, and return students' work promptly and within the University's required service standards. Candidates must own or have access to a computer and internet with the capability to communicate with the University and students, and the capability to run any applications required to perform tutorial support.

First consideration will be given to internal applicants according to Article 7 of The Board/CUPE Collective Agreement, followed by those candidates who are able to work from Alberta and then those who are able to work from within Canada.

Non-doctoral prepared employees: $243.25 prorated per block, per biweekly pay.

Doctoral prepared employees: $252.98 prorated per block, per biweekly pay.
