What This Role Is All About
As a Production Assembler, you play a key role on our plant floor by helping manufacture high-quality windows and doors. You will work closely with team members to ensure products meet our standards for quality, efficiency, and safety. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and thrives in a team-oriented environment.
Production & Quality
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets with high quality and accuracy.
- Assemble windows and doors using hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.
- Complete all tasks safely and efficiently while meeting daily production timelines.
- Follow quality control standards and ensure all finished products meet specifications.
- Identify and correctly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring waste and debris are removed regularly.
- Follow all injury-prevention practices, safety regulations, and company procedures.
- Report hazards, unsafe conditions, or potential risks immediately.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in a clean and professional manner.
- Use measurement tools (mm, inches) accurately during assembly tasks.
- Support continuous improvement processes, including Lean and 6S practices.
- Use computer applications and systems as required for production tasks.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- WHMIS certification required; Standard First Aid is an asset.
- 1+ years of experience assembling windows, doors, or other manufacturing products.
- Experience using hand tools, saws, cutting tools, and measurement equipment.
- Comfortable working with both metric and imperial measurements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse, and team-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and 6S principles is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safe work practices.
- Plant/warehouse environment with ongoing standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks.
- Use of hand and power tools throughout the workday.
- Exposure to noise, dust, and temperature fluctuations depending on season.
- Must be able to lift up to 20–40 lbs regularly and follow all safety protocols.
- PPE required (safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.).
- Fast-paced environment with production deadlines and team collaboration.
