The Role

The Head of Finance Business Partner is responsible for providing strategic financial insights and support to the business units. This role is crucial in driving financial performance, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals. The Head of Finance Business Partner reports directly to the Director of Finance and works closely with other senior leaders to integrate financial planning and analysis into business decision-making.

Performance Outcomes and Accountabilities:

  • Deliver accurate and timely financial analysis and insights.
  • Support business units in achieving their financial targets.
  • Optimize resource allocation and investment decisions.
  • Enhance financial planning and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure alignment of financial strategies with business objectives.
  • Foster strong relationships with business unit leaders.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

Financial Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute financial strategies in alignment with the company's business goals.
  • Lead the long-range planning (5YP), annual budgeting and forecasting process for region.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities and develop plans to address them.

Business Partnering:

  • Collaborate with regional/business unit leaders to provide financial insights and support.
  • Assist in the development of business plans and investment proposals.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Manage detailed financial analysis on month end and forecast outlook to support business decision-making.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership.
  • Analyse variances and trends to identify areas for improvement.

Resource Allocation:

  • Optimise resource allocation to ensure efficient use of financial resources.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations.
  • Monitor capital expenditures and ensure alignment with strategic goals.

Performance Management:

  • Develop and implement performance management frameworks.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and provide insights to drive performance.
  • Conduct regular reviews and provide feedback to regional accounts.

Commercial:

  • Commercial support on new opportunities – review of pricing/commercial risk.
  • Post go-live contract reviews including control over implementation spend.
  • Investment appraisals and prioritization for region.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance business partnering team.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
