Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving various facilities and equipment to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. The Maintenance Person will play a crucial part in supporting the overall operations by addressing maintenance needs promptly and effectively.

Duties

  • Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks across the facility, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues before they escalate.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management.
  • Install, assemble, and repair fixtures, furniture, appliances, and other equipment as needed.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of tools and supplies required for various repair tasks.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
  • Assist with setup and teardown for events or special projects within the facility.
  • Collaborate with vendors or contractors when specialized repairs or services are required.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Person or in a similar maintenance role.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general repairs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and implement practical solutions.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and management.
  • Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with HVAC systems, painting techniques, or experience working with building automation systems.
