The School of Trades and Technology at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach in the Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Foundation Program.

The successful candidate will instruct all theoretical and practical components of the Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Foundation, Apprenticeship, and Sampler Programs, ensuring that students meet the learning outcomes outlined by SkilledTradesBC.

This is a unique opportunity to share your technical expertise and industry experience with the next generation of trades professionals in a dynamic, hands-on learning environment.

School of Trades and Technology is a dynamic, hands-on learning unit delivering industry-aligned trades foundation and apprenticeship training across 20 trades, in a regionally-focused, community-engaged setting. Qualifications:

  • Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic Interprovincial (Red Seal) Certificate of Qualification
  • Completion of a recognized 4-year apprenticeship

Assets:

  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant post-certification experience
  • Gas B certification
  • Previous instructional or mentoring experience
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
