ABOUT

We are a rapidly growing ecommerce fashion brand that designs and produces apparel for the plus size market. Since its launch in 2019, the brand has grown by following a simple formula of authentically serving our customers with products designed for their bodies. By listening to our customers and understanding their unique needs, we've delivered a product and brand that they love. Now, we are looking to add a Junior Designer to work directly with our CEO to help bring new, innovative sock collections and plus-size fashion products to life.  

THE ROLE

  • Assist in creating and developing plus size fashion collections that align with the company's brand identity and cater to the plus size market.
  • Research current trends, customer feedback, and material innovations to inform design decisions.
  • Create detailed technical drawings, sketches, and illustrations to communicate design concepts.
  • Build tech-packs and size charts for production.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers to develop samples, and ensure designs are executed accurately and efficiently.
  • Organize and manage fabric swatches, samples, and visual assets.
  • Support in fittings, photoshoots, and other design-related initiatives.
  • Manage and organize fabric swatches, samples, and other design materials.
  • Ensure all designs meet quality standards and production deadlines.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • Understanding of plus size fashion design principles, including fit, comfort, and style.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing fashion design projects, including work focused on plus size fashion.
  • Strong technical understanding of sizing and grading.
  • Proficiency in design software.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality, inclusive fashion designs.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting as well as part of a fast-paced collaborative team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in designing socks is a plus but not required.
