Data Engineer

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

• Build data pipelines, monitor them, and troubleshoot operational or data issues.
• Review existing operations data, research open issues, and collaborate with the engineering and operations teams on new and ongoing projects.
• Design tools and infrastructure to analyze large volumes of data.
• Assist the team with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and thorough defect resolution in the event of a problem.
• Provide expertise on cloud-based data engineering best practices.
• Maintain clear documentation of processes, models, and data engineering solutions.
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data within the organization.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, data modelling, ETL processes and data integration using Microsoft technologies.
• Advanced SQL skills for data transformation and querying on Azure data services (e.g., Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Fabric, Purview).
• Experience with SQL and debugging complex queries.
• Experience with Power BI or other BI tools.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices. CI/CD experience.
• Strong understanding of data pipeline engineering and big data design principles.
• Experience with database, data warehouse or data lake solutions.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts into appropriate language for all stakeholders
