Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer/Sider to join our construction team. Travel and accommodation provided as well as a competitive salary based on experience.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on residential buildings. This role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely at heights. A background in construction, carpentry, or maintenance work is highly valued, along with experience using hand tools and reading blueprints.

Duties

  • Install new roofing materials according to project specifications and safety standards
  • Install hardy board siding
  • Use hand tools such as hammers, drills, and saws to cut, shape, and secure roofing materials
  • Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, tiles, or metal panels
  • Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and insulation integrity
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for proper installation procedures
  • Assist with other construction or maintenance person tasks as needed to support project completion
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times

Requirements

  • Proven experience in roofing, construction, carpentry, or maintenance person work preferred
  • Proficiency with hand tools and basic construction equipment
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more)
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading and technical drawings
  • Knowledge of caulking techniques and waterproofing methods
  • Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions and at heights
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to commute to job sites regularly
  • Prior experience with safety protocols related to roofing work is a plus

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 1 month

Pay: $23.38-$29.77 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
