Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS and other cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform and Azure.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts using tools like Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, and Shell Scripting to streamline deployment processes.
  • Maintain and optimize cloud environments utilizing virtualization technologies including VMware, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, and Citrix.
  • Collaborate with development teams to facilitate application deployment using CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Git, and related DevOps tools.
  • Ensure system security through system hardening practices, vulnerability assessments, and implementing best practices for cloud security.
  • Manage web services and APIs including RESTful APIs to support SaaS, PaaS, IaaS solutions across multiple platforms.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure components such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • Implement network security measures including VPNs and firewall configurations to safeguard data integrity.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud trends and technologies to recommend improvements for existing systems.

Skills

  • Extensive experience with AWS services including S3, EC2, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch; familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and Azure is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices architecture, and web services development.
  • Proficiency in virtualization platforms such as VMware, OpenStack, Rackspace; containerization skills with Docker and Kubernetes are essential.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing concepts including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS; expertise in cloud architecture design and system integration.
  • Programming skills in Python, JavaScript ), Java, Ruby on Rails; scripting expertise in PowerShell and Bash for automation tasks.
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef; CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle; understanding of SQL/PL-SQL/T-SQL queries.
  • Strong grasp of operating systems including Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS), Windows Server; experience managing internet of things (IoT) integrations is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices including system hardening, application deployment strategies, API development & management.
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment with excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system management. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
