Are you a numbers-driven student with a passion for precision and a curiosity for how finance powers a business? We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Accountant Co-op to join our dynamic Accounting team at our Richmond head office starting January 2025

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real-world accounting experience in a collaborative, supportive, and fast-paced environment. You'll work approximately 20 hours per week while balancing your studies — perfect for someone eager to apply classroom learning to meaningful work.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a key support to our accounting operations, you'll get hands-on experience with a wide range of responsibilities, including:

  • Handling full-cycle accounts payable

  • Ensuring timely and accurate bank payments

  • Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and preparing account schedules

  • Supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings

  • Collaborating with team members to meet critical financial deadlines

  • Reconciling accounts payable and receivable

  • Contributing to audits by verifying financial transactions and documents

  • Ensuring compliance with financial policies, regulations, and data confidentiality

  • Supporting database backup processes

  • Taking on additional projects and duties as needed — no two days are the same

What We're Looking For:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary accounting or finance program and in your 4th year of study

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (bonus if you love pivot tables)

  • A self-starter with excellent attention to detail and time management

  • Eager to learn, adaptable, and able to thrive in a team setting
