Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and professional RPN or RN to cover a maternity leave position starting in November 2025. The position will include two to three shifts per week through April or May 2026, with the possibility of ongoing casual opportunities thereafter.

The successful candidate will provide IV vitamin infusions, iron infusions (Venofer, Monoferric), and IM vitamin injections (B12, Vitamin D, etc.) under established medical directives, ensuring safe and high-quality client care in a calm and friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform IV initiation, maintenance, and discontinuation safely and effectively.
  • Administer IV vitamin therapy and iron infusions (Venofer, Monoferric) per Thrive's medical directives and protocols.
  • Administer IM injections including B12, Vitamin D, NAD+, and Glutathione.
  • Monitor clients during treatments, assess for side effects, and manage adverse reactions, including anaphylaxis if needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Jane App EMR and ensure compliance with CNO Standards, PHIPA, and clinic policies.
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Practitioner and interdisciplinary team for client continuity of care.
  • Promote a professional, welcoming, and safe environment aligned with Thrive's wellness philosophy.

Qualifications

  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as an RPN or RN.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience involving IV therapy or infusion-based treatments.
  • Demonstrated competency in IV initiation and management, and monitoring for adverse events.
  • Experience in iron infusions (Venofer, Monoferric) is considered a strong asset.
  • Valid BLS/CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills.
  • Professional, compassionate, and client-centred approach to care.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Part-time: Approximately 2 days per week (Mondays & Thursdays) may add Tuesday or occasional Saturday based on patient volumes
  • Duration: November 2025 – April/May 2026. Maternity Leave contract position with the possibility of extension.
  • Compensation: Competitive hourly wage based on experience.

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
