Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Controller to oversee our company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in accounting principles, financial reporting, and accounting software systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial statements, effective account management, and compliance with regulatory standards. The Senior Accontant/ Controller will lead a team of accounting professionals and collaborate with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making and financial planning.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct account reconciliation and account analysis to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Utilize accounting software: Epicor and other platforms to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance on complex accounting issues.
  • Develop internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during audits and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist in financial forecasting to support business growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Controller or senior accounting role with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software including
  • Extensive knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, budgeting, and account reconciliation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed account analysis and identify discrepancies.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience managing a team of accounting professionals.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and accounting systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not required
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in all work outputs. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
