We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting disciplines, including residential, commercial, restoration, and industrial painting. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes on a variety of projects. The Painter will work closely with project managers and clients to deliver exceptional results while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.

Duties

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and masking to ensure proper adhesion of paint or coatings
  • Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project requirements
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for surface preparation and finishing tasks
  • Perform rigging and scaffolding setup as needed for high or hard-to-reach areas
  • Assist with carpentry tasks related to surface repairs or framing as required
  • Maintain a clean work environment by properly disposing of waste materials and organizing tools and supplies
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project specifications are met
  • Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA standards

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction painting, including residential, commercial, restoration, and industrial projects
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools used in painting and surface preparation
  • Knowledge of rigging techniques for scaffolding or lifts when working at heights
  • Familiarity with caulking techniques for sealing gaps and joints before painting
  • Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
  • Prior experience in carpentry or related trades is a plus but not required

This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring technical expertise and craftsmanship. Candidates should be committed to quality work, safety standards, and customer satisfaction.

Job Types: Full-time, Casual, Apprenticeship

Pay: $17.56-$301.93 per hour
