The Child Care Inclusion Specialist supports early childhood educators, child care centres, Y camps and families in creating inclusive, developmentally appropriate environments for children of all abilities. This role provides coaching, technical assistance, and resources to ensure children with diverse need can fully participate in child care programs. The specialist collaborates with community partners, early intervention professionals, and families to promote high-quality inclusive practices. The successful candidate will be focusing on three main areas that includes 1.Program support, Coaching, Training and Professional Development 2.Family engagement, Collaboration and Community Partnerships 3.Documentation and Compliance

Are You the Right Fit? 

  • ECE II or III or an educational background in Child Development, with knowledge of inclusive practices, developmental frameworks, screening tools such as ASQ, and provincial child care regulations.
  • Demonstrates strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build culturally responsive, family-centered relationships across diverse stakeholders.
  • Excels in organization, documentation, and data accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, prepare reports, and maintain confidentiality in all administrative tasks.
  • Shows the ability to adapt curriculum and environments, problem-solve effectively, and work both independently and collaboratively within Y Winnipeg's child care and camp operations.

Inclusion Specialist

What Else Do You Need? 

  • This position is 100% in person and requires the ability to travel between sites.
  • Valid Manitoba Class 5F driver's license and access to a vehicle.
