Role Description

This is a contract role for an instructor specializing in Piano, Violin, Voice, Guitar, Flute, or Cello at the Vancouver Conservatory of Music. The Instructor will be responsible for designing and delivering music lessons tailored to individual student needs, teaching music theory, preparing students for performances, and fostering a positive and engaging learning experience. This is an on-site role, based in Coquitlam, BC.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Music Performance and expertise with specific instruments such as Piano, Violin, Voice, Guitar, Flute, or Cello
  • Strong foundation in Music Theory and Music Education, with an ability to convey concepts effectively
  • Experience in teaching other specific instruments to diverse age groups
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering growth in students
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Previous teaching experience in music schools or private instruction is an asset
  • Degree or certification in Music or equivalent professional experience
