We're hiring summer student labourers to help deliver essential services to our community. This position supports the Enviro Depot by helping residents to get rid of items that cannot be collected as part of their regular curbside garbage and recycling collection.ResponsibilitiesGreet residents and direct them to the appropriate location for waste disposal,Responsible for assisting with keeping the site clean and maintained,Responsible for providing general information to the public and assisting them with their concerns and complaints by passing information to the Supervisor or designate,Perform other related duties as directed by the Supervisor of Public Works or designate.QualificationsEssential:Minimum Grade 12 and must be returning to a post-secondary school,Must be able to work in all weather conditions and be physically able to perform dutiesMust have Class G2 Ontario Driver's License in good standing. Preferred:Standard First Aid and CPR training, Experience operating a wide variety of handheld powered equipment,Training with MTO Book 7 for Temporary Conditions, and proven knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and other applicable legislation.Working Conditions
  • Scheduled 40-hour work week, hours are Tuesday – Friday 10:00am – 6:00pm, and Saturday 7:30am – 3:30pm. 
  • Will be required to work in adverse weather conditions,
