Background:
Our Public Sector client requires a Senior Systems Administrator (Secret cleared) to assist with a migration of their virtualization environment.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator / IT Architect
- Available to work on-site in Ottawa
- Active Secret Clearance (Absolute must have)
Experience with the following technologies/tasks as a Systems Administrator or Architect
MS Hyper-V
Virtual Machine Manager (VMM)
- Host Guardian Services (HGS) Shielding
- SecureRDP
Storage Spaces Direct for Software-Defined Storage
VMWare
vCenter
- vMotion
- vSphere
Expected Tasks
- Migration of the production environment utilizing the above-mentioned tools and technologies.
- Support the virtualization environment and make necessary changes.
- Perform virtual environment and data replication and backups;
- Perform failover procedures of applications/services and data to the Disaster Recovery site;
- Analyze system performance and recommend improvements;
- Establish virtual server, virtual desktops and cloud hardware architectures and produce corresponding technical build documents.
