Intermediate Building Operator – Vancouver / Coquitlam / Burnaby

Salary:
$80,000 + hourly overtime pay + mileage reimbursement

Location:
Split between three properties (Vancouver, Coquitlam, Burnaby)

Are you looking to grow your career in building operations and gain hands-on experience across multiple asset types? This newly created position is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to learn under an experienced operator while managing a mix of office and industrial properties.

About the Role:

You'll be responsible for three sites — one office property in Vancouver and two industrial properties in Coquitlam and Burnaby. You will spend one full day at each building rather than traveling between multiple sites in a single day.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring each site is clean, safe, and well-maintained. This includes light maintenance, regular inspections, and assisting with building systems as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance such as pressure washing, painting over graffiti, and litter pickup
  • Conduct regular building and equipment inspections
  • Assist with the operation and maintenance of fire sprinkler and elevator systems
  • Respond to tenant requests and service calls in a timely, professional manner
  • Support preventative maintenance programs for all three sites
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors as needed

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in building operations or facility maintenance
  • Basic knowledge of fire protection, HVAC, and elevator systems
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
