We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to support store leadership and oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of retail and entertainment operations. This role supports staff management, sales optimization, customer experience, and operational efficiency to drive business growth and excellence.

This position requires weekend availability and a commitment of approximately 50 hours per week.

Key ResponsibilitiesStore Operations & Team Management

  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training of staff in line with Funvilla standards
  • Assist in preparing and managing staff schedules and shifts
  • Ensure appropriate staffing during peak and non-peak hours
  • Monitor staff performance and uphold discipline, professionalism, and service standards

Customer Service & Experience

  • Ensure an exceptional customer experience at all times
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations professionally
  • Support flawless execution of birthday parties, events, and group bookings

Cleanliness, Hygiene & Safety

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across the facility
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food-handling regulations
  • Conduct regular inspections of play areas, party rooms, washrooms, and common spaces

Sales & Business Support

  • Support daily sales across admissions, birthday parties, arcade, and food operations
  • Assist with upselling birthday packages, add-ons, memberships, and promotions
  • Participate in local marketing initiatives and community outreach efforts

Equipment & Facility Management

  • Oversee proper use and basic maintenance of equipment and play structures
  • Report faults, coordinate repairs, and help minimize downtime
  • Ensure all attractions and machines are operational and safe

Inventory, Ordering & Food Operations

  • Assist with managing inventory for food, beverages, and supplies
  • Place timely orders and help control wastage
  • Ensure proper food storage, handling, and hygiene practices

Incident & Reporting Management

  • Respond to incidents, accidents, or emergencies promptly and responsibly
  • Complete incident reports accurately and within required timelines
  • Maintain daily reports, cash handling records, and operational logs

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a related field
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are an asset
  • Experience managing part-time and full-time staff across diverse shifts
  • Experience in recruiting, interviewing, training, and staff development
  • Prior experience in kids indoor or outdoor entertainment, play areas, or amusement parks is preferred
  • Competence in basic budgeting, payroll coordination, administrative tasks, and planning
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize for optimal store performance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
